May we all learn this concept. It isn’t in special programs, books, speeches, etc that we push back darkness, but in our representation of Jesus in this World. Only through faithfully obeying Him and demonstrating His unselfish love through our daily lives can we push back the darkness in this World. Our goal is to help the Christian Youth of this World learn this truth. Thank you for your post!

Nice to hear from you. Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment. I had never heard of Dr. Lane before reading this book…he presented a very interesting view.

Hey John,

Thanks for the post. I’m glad Lane showed his hand in leaning toward the Baptist view while at the same time asking us all to just get along. Without having read his book, I can only comment on how I’ve seen Lane’s view play out in the local church. Usually, a church will have both paedo- and credo-baptist pastors. When someone from the congregation wants their child baptized, they approach the paedo-pastor with the request. This way, the credo-pastor is not forced to do something that goes against his conscience.

When pastors and members agree on just about everything else, this practice of bearing with our brothers on this one issue becomes a bond that draws everyone even closer.
